Stirling Camanachd Senior Squad
The senior division of the club formed in 2024: starting with training sessions at King's Park, Stirling. Numbers started low and the squad has previous appearances at the Jack Asher's sixes, St. Andrews Sixes and a friendly against the English Shinty Association (ESA).
When the club decided to continue training during the winter, numbers increased. In Janaury 2025, the Camanachd Association approached the club to invite us to join the Mowi South Division 2 league. We accepted the offer, even though we did not have a strip, goals or enough numbers.
The lead up to the seniors first competitive league was a whirlwind of events: from sourcing a playing kit, metal goals for our pitch and recruitment of players. The squad's first league was very successful: 3 wins over Aberdour, Tayforth and Kyle's Atheltic and 1 draw against Aberdour at home. Many lessons were learnt in the first season and we will continue to develop as a squad over the upcoming 2026 season.
